Introduction

Hotelschool The Hague presents Global Citizenship Series

2017 is the year of diversity for the Global Citizenship Series. During six seminars, a stimulating mix of board level executives of major companies, young high-potentials of these companies and top performing students of Hotelschool The Hague will join to explore the concept of global citizenship. Lead by eminent guest speakers, they will discuss, debate and connect on the impact of various major topics, which influence our global society.

Become a Partner

“Wouldn’t you like to have the young high potentials in your company develop a broader view on the world, develop formal debating skills and connect with our most talented hospitality students to learn from each other?”

In line with our vision and mission we aim to offer our students more than just an excellent education in hospitality business management. Highly relevant, but not necessarily educational topics, such as Global Citizenship, Sustainability and Social Awareness are increasingly addressed.

Now, we aim to take these goals beyond our school boundaries.

The wish to take the above significant step further, has lead us to create the Global Citizenship Series (GCS). In 2017, the focus of this programme is ‘Diversity of Ideas’. This year’s activities will consist of six seminars and a networking event. The GCS is to become a distinctive feature of the (inter)national business landscape and will serve as a network hub for major organisations where ‘hospitality makes a difference’.

Since we are convinced that hospitality will increasingly make a difference also in your organisation, we would like to invite you to become a GCS Partner. This partnership aims to offer you the following benefits:

  • A high-level environment in which you can interact with both peers, top performing students of Hotelschool The Hague and young high-potentials of participating companies;
  • A team of young high-potentials from your organisation will receive a brief but intensive training in formal debating, culminating in a live debating contest against a highly trained Hotelschool The Hague student team, in front of a large audience;
  • Together with eminent guest speakers we will create an opportunity for your young high-potentials to gain valuable insights in topics of global relevance. Next to this, they can choose to compete in the GCS video blog challenge (more info will follow soon);
  • You, or one of your fellow board members, will be invited to join an on-stage panel discussion, together with the evening’s guest speaker and other prominent participants;
  • With your guests and colleagues you will get a taste of Hotelschool The Hague’s hospitality in a stimulating setting, surrounded by other board level participants and guests, excellent Hotelschool The Hague students and high-potentials of various organisations. A mix of people, which promises an out-of-the-ordinary experience.

Should you be intrigued by the above, please contact Don Spierenburg, via d.spierenburg@hotelschool.nl or phone number +31 610538892 to set up a meeting for further elaboration on the programme.
