General Support – Corporate Office

Department

The Corporate Office is amongst other things responsible for overall and integral support to the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors. The department also supports the organisation regarding student affairs, supervision of educational quality monitoring, processes, the PDCA cycle, as well as being responsible for providing general legal advice.

 

General function description

The General Support for the Corporate office will be responsible for all general administrative tasks.

Under the guidance of the Corporate Secretary you will support and coordinate activities which the Corporate Office is responsible for. You will work either independently or under supervision on policy implementation and/or policy supporting activities, on legal issues, procedures and guidelines, etc. 

 

Candidate profile:

You have/are:

  • A Bachelor degree, preferable in law;
  • Knowledge of the Dutch Higher Education system;
  • Proactive;
  • An accurate and structured worker;
  • Excellent command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written;
  • A hands-on approach and able to work independently;
  • Team player.

Organisation

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of faculty members working in a range of hospitality related business areas. The school community is about 40 percent international. Because of the international character of the institute, the official language is English. Hotelschool The Hague has an excellent reputation developed over more than 85 years of existence.

Every faculty member works under the direction of one Faculty Department Head, based upon their area of expertise. The Faculty Department Head reports to the Dean of Faculty and together with the Dean, the Faculty Department Heads along with the Program director are responsible for the academic program of the school.

 

General Function Description

You are able to teach courses that are closely linked to real-world hospitality management practice. You are a professional and motivating lecturer, encouraging both students and colleagues to achieve excellence. Candidate Profile

  • a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree with a major in Mandarin, Applied Linguistics or equivalent;
  • hospitality experience or a proven affinity with a hospitality focused organisation;
  • several years of teaching experience or proven affinity with teaching;
  • considerable experience in Higher Education, preferably in a university of Applied Sciences;
  • an excellent oral and written command of English;
  • excellent social skills, an ability to work independently, and a proactive attitude to problem solving;

Remuneration

The hourly rate that is offered depends on experience and qualifications (range between € 50,- and max € 55,-). The assignment can vary from 1 to 2 days per week.

Profile

You have/are:

  • a PhD in a hospitality related discipline or a Master degree with a major in HRM and several years of relevant international service sector work experience;
  • considerable working experience in HRM, preferably change management;
  • several years of teaching experience or proven affinity with teaching;
  • analytical and conceptual skills and an excellent command of the English language (C2 level);

Remuneration

Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary in scale 11 with a range of € 3,392.46 and € 4,661.12 gross per year, depending on your professional experience and qualifications. The contract is annual with an option for extension. In addition, Hotelschool The Hague offers an excellent package of fringe benefits, a retirement pension through ABP, excellent opportunities for further education, the possibility to participate in collective (health) insurance, generous opportunities for sabbatical and, when appropriate, we provide professional expat services.

Storekeeper / Magazijnbeheerder – Campus Amsterdam

Functieomschrijving

  • Beheer van voorraden en magazijn;
  • Tijdig en correcte ontvangst, controle en uitgifte goederen;
  • Administratie met betrekking tot ontvangst en uitgifte van goederen;
  • Advies en overleg met betrokkenen over het inkoopbeleid;
  • Aanspreekpunt voor praktijkstudenten;
  • Interne- en externe contacten onderhouden;
  • Zorgen voor concrete verbetervoorstellen, teneinde te zorgen voor een continue verbetering van het voorraad- en magazijnbeheer op het gebied van Food & Beverage en Facilitaire Dienst binnen de Hotelschool.

 

 

Profiel

  • Relevante MBO-opleiding afgerond;
  • Goede beheersing Nederlandse en Engelse taal in woord en geschrift;

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

Afhankelijk van opleiding en werkervaring wordt een bruto salaris geboden tussen € 1.686,60 en € 2.149,91 per maand bij een fulltime aanstelling.

 

Hotelschool The Hague beschikt over een uitstekend pakket arbeidsvoorwaarden;

  • Een 13de maand;
  • Medewerkers met een werkweek van 40 uur hebben recht op 428 uur verlof (53 dagen);
  • Pensioen via het ABP;

Het betreft een 0,5 fte aanstelling (20 uur verdeeld over 5 dagen). De arbeidsovereenkomst zal voor 1 jaar zijn met een mogelijkheid tot verlenging.

 

Een taalvaardigheidstest Engels maakt onderdeel uit van de selectieprocedure.

 

De functie wordt uitgeoefend op onze vestiging in Amsterdam aan de Jan Evertsenstraat.

Indien noodzakelijk bent u tevens bereid werkzaamheden op onze vestiging in Den Haag te verrichten.
