Quality Assurance - Trainee

 

 

Hotelschool The Hague.
Hotelschool The Hague has over 1900 (Dutch and international) students and 200 employees including highly educated and experienced lecturers and instructors. The curriculum of the school’s bachelor programme is taught exclusively in English and is based on a unique didactic concept. At the beginning of 2012 this programme achieved ‘excellent’ scores on 11 out of 16 standards in the accreditation. In September 2014 our new Master programme in Hospitality Management started. E-learning courses for the hospitality industry are offered via Consultancy & Training, a subsidiary company.

 

Activities Quality Assurance Trainee
We offer you an internship as an assistant Quality Officer for a period of at least 6 months. The trainee will be assigned independent tasks and will be supervised by the Manager Shared Services. You will get the opportunity to develop yourself on a personal and organizational level and be part of an enthusiastic and professional team of young people. You are proficient at conducting internal and external audits, coordinate the execution of customer satisfaction surveys, process the results and draw up the internal report. You will be entrusted with the organization of the ISO 9001 structure as well as with the HTH-quality-assurance system. The internship also encompasses the finalization of some uncharted processes. Finally, you are competent to inform, support and advice on quality improvement.

 

Profile
The Quality Assurance Trainee:

  • Is currently following a Bachelor programme in Quality Assurance Management, Business – or Public Administration.

Hotelschool The Hague has over 1900 (Dutch and international) students and 200 employees including highly educated and experienced lecturers and instructors. The curriculum of the school’s bachelor programme is taught exclusively in English and is based on a unique didactic concept. At the beginning of 2012 this programme achieved ‘excellent’ scores on 11 out of 16 standards in the accreditation. In September 2014 our new Master programme in Hospitality Management started. E-learning courses for the hospitality industry are offered via Consultancy & Training, a subsidiary company.

 

Activities Educational Trainee
We offer an internship for a period of at least 5 months. During this internship the trainee will get the opportunity to further develop him/herself and participate in interesting projects regarding curriculum innovation and blended learning. The trainee will be assigned independent tasks and will be supervised by the Education Specialist. One of the main activities of the Educational Trainee will be to enhance the use of technology in education and provide hands-on support to teachers and course developers to implement blended learning tools and approaches. Next to the ongoing activities, there will be room for conducting an independent research project for a thesis, on a related topic.

 

Profile
The Educational Trainee:

  • is currently following a Bachelor’s or Master’s studies; preferably MSc in Education;

  • has good advisory, analytical and presentation skills, is persuasive and possesses excellent communication skills (oral and written);

  • is aware of recent developments in international (higher) education;

  • has knowledge of and affinity with ICT applications and blended learning solutions in the field of education; combines digital skills with creativity.

  • has knowledge of professional development of teachers;

  • has a strong affinity with the hospitality industry and has an international focus;

  • has an excellent command of Dutch and English.

 

Internship fee: €350,- gross a month including travel expenses.

Location: mainly The Hague, sometimes our campus in Amsterdam.

The Strategic Marketing & Communication Department is responsible for marketing and positioning, branding, internal and external communication, including public relations and marketing events for Hotelschool The Hague.

 This dynamic and versatile department is looking for a:

Strategic Marketing & Communiction Trainee -
Campus The Hague


 

 

As January 2015, we can offer you an internship at the Strategic Marketing and Communication Department for a period of at least 5 months. The trainee will be assigned independent tasks and will be supervised by one of the Strategic Marketing & Communication staff members. The trainee will get the opportunity to further develop him-/herself and to participate in an enthusiastic and professional team of young people. A lot of room for independency is offered.

 

Tasks will include but not necessarily be limited to:

  • Co-develop mailings, press releases and dealing with requests for information;
  • Design the digital weekly student & staff news;
  • Making scripts for international fairs and visits of external guest (e.g. ministers, General Managers of international hotel chains);
  • House style check;
  • Quality care (satisfaction surveys/evaluations);
  • Help organising (large-scale) events; both internal and public events;
  • Help executing research (competition/marketing data);
  • Updating the website;
  • Executing the production of brochures and flyers;
  • All daily tasks.

 

Requirements:

You have/are

  • A 2nd of 3rd year HBO student of Marketing/Communication or Business related studies;
  • A hands-on mentality and a great eye for detail;
  • Inquisitive, independent, positive and ambitious;
  • A proactive, initiative and service-minded attitude;
  • An excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and oral;
  • A representative and business-like appearance in conformity with Hotelschool The Hague guidelines;
  • Excellent computer skills such as Excel, Power Point, etc.;
  • Preference will be given to the individual that has experience with InDesign;
  • Affinity with, and interest in the Hospitality industry.
